Road Cash Promise is Just Full of Holes

Years of neglect by the Conservatives have left Halmer End and Alsagers Bank High Street full of cracks and craters.

Labour’s Mike Joynson has been campaigning to get it resurfaced with  support from Newcastle’s MP Paul Farrelly.

In the past the County Council has promised action...but then, as usual, failed to deliver.

Now, with the local and general elections looming, the Tories say they are  releasing £2 million to tackle the crisis on Staffordshire’s roads.

“Nobody is fooled by this latest promise. Their historic under-investment in our highways proves that Tory promises are full of holes — just like the roads,” says Mike.

“If elected in May, I’ll press the County for action — not more empty promises.”
