New member coffee morning 8th Oct

Coffee-Morning1.jpg

It was great to meet everyone this morning, "new" and "old" to chat, get to know each other and to share ideas for how to be involved and be an active local Labour Party. I noted all the ideas and hopefully we can implement some of the suggestions quite quickly.

As well as ideas to create interactive meetings, political discussions and activities, suggestions for social events were discussed. One suggestion was to set up a Labour Walking Group, similar to Staffs Moorlands CLP, to organise walks. If there are any walkers out there keen on that idea and willing to plan and lead them please do email me.

Tomorrow I will confirm the Sunday Politics meeting at Capello Lounge. I have already had 4 RVSPs so need to check with Capello Lounge that we can arrange a table or two. Keep an eye on our Facebook page, website and email for confirmation. Again this will just be a getting to know you session, opportunity for new members to speak and ask questions plus of course a chat about politics.

Finally I have already had one submission for the website for our new member "Why I joined Labour" series of articles (thanks Nick). Any more articles or ideas for the website please do email me at allisongardner@gmail.com

I look forward to meeting more of you next week.

Kind regards,

Ally
Membership Secretary
