This weekend several teams of local Labour party members were out and about, canvassing, delivering leaflets and encouraging people to register to vote.
Volunteers for Newcastle Under Lyme Constituency Labour Party continue to work hard to secure a Labour win. Time, a much more valuable commodity than money, is freely given by our determined volunteers to help secure the future for our constituency and council, to keep it safe in Labour hands. We do not pay to have our leaflets delivered, ours are delivered by hand by local Labour supporters (and some of those letter boxes can take the skin off your knuckles I can tell you!).
In the last few days our canvassing teams were out in force in Silverdale, Cross Heath, Holditch, Knutton and Bradwell, working hard for our local councillors and for our MP Paul Farrelly (who was also out and about as usual with the teams). We are always happy to chat and keep people informed of our exciting policies (and to correct the rather disturbing amount of disinformation that is being put out by other parties).
Work also continued at Keele University to encourage registration to vote and local councillor Tony Kearon will be out and about in Keele tonight, talking to voters from 5.30pm.
As you can see from the picture, despite a cold turn in the weather, spirits are high! We are proud to be Labour, proud of our hard-working MP and councillors and looking forward to kicking this weak, elitist government out!
It isn't just us either, teams across the UK are out in force as we are determined to meet Ed Miliband's promise to cut through the cynicism surrounding politics by having (at least) 4 million chats door-to-door.
