Parker_Jonathan.jpgJoin us as guest speaker Dr Jon Parker discusses the US presidential elections, including the primary battles, the rise of both Trump and Sanders, and what this means for US politics whatever the result.

We will be looking to see what parallels there are between the rise of the populist right and left in europe and the rise to prominence of Trump and Sanders, with some possible comparisons and important differences with the situation in the UK following the election of Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader.

Dr Parker will speak before opening up the discussion to the floor - if you have questions about US politics then please come along and join the debate!

As with all Newcastle CLP meetings we welcome all Labour Party members and supporters, including those from outside our CLP.
