General Election Debate at Keele University

11081070_10155314025070006_4668424349018182932_n.jpgThere was a good turnout last Friday at the General Election debate organised by the KeeleVotes team.

Questions ranged from international and national issues such as TTIP, Trident and the need to protect the NHS from encroaching privatisation to local issues such as the Newcastle Under Lyme green spaces. Paul Farrelly spoke strongly on protecting both our NHS and our green spaces and of course was able to demonstrate a good track record of action on these issues. The panel received a large number of questions from an audience that was a mix of students, local residents, university staff, union workers and local councillors.

The KeeleVotes team have been superb in organising a wide range of stalls and activities at Keele University and are to be congratulated for organising an excellent debate.
