Due to the announcement of a General Election this meeting is now cancelled.
Please keep an eye out for campaign announcements
We are pleased to invite members to our May CLP All Members Meeting.
We will be starting the meeting with a presentation and question and answer session from a representative of Disability Solutions who will be discussing the impact of the Tory Governments welfare reforms and the harm they are doing to our residents in Newcastle. This follows on from the recent news that Stoke on Trent City Council will be conducting a welfare reform cumulative impact analysis, with particular emphasis on the real life impact experienced by residents.
The meeting will then continue with the usual format at approximately 8.15 where we will of course have the usual feedback on current local and parliamentary issues from Paul Farrelly MP. We will also hear about the policy development plans from members following our latest Sunday Pint and Politics event.
The meeting will start at 7.30pm and will take place at Holy Trinity Community Rooms, London Rd (accessed from Grosvenor Rd carpark). We will hopefully finish by 9pm after which we will be able to retire to the bar for a relaxing chat and drinks with members.
